WeStories Music
Cookie policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
This is an English translation provided for convenience. If there is any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.
In short: we use technical cookies so the Website works and stays secure, and third-party cookies to measure visits (Google Analytics) and to measure and show our ads (Google Ads and Meta). We don’t sell your data. You can reject or delete them whenever you want.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser (on your computer or phone) to remember something: that you’ve visited before, what preferences you chose or how you got there. There are other similar technologies, such as the browser’s local storage or pixels; on this page we call them all "cookies".
Types of cookies
By who sets them:
- First-party: set by the website you are visiting.
- Third-party: set by another company whose service is embedded in the website (for example, a YouTube video).
By what they are for:
- Technical or necessary: they make the website work and keep it secure. They don’t need your consent.
- Preferences: they remember things you chose, such as the language.
- Analytics or measurement: they count visits and show how the website is used, so it can be improved.
- Advertising: they are used to show you ads and measure whether they worked, on this website or others.
By how long they last:
- Session: deleted when you close the browser.
- Persistent: stored for a while (days, months or until you delete them).
The ones we use
| Service | Type | What for | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| WeStories Music | Technical, first-party | Only if you visit us from the European Union, the United Kingdom or Switzerland: it stores whether you accepted or rejected measurement and advertising cookies (ws_permiso cookie), so we don’t ask you again. | 1 year |
| Cloudflare | Technical, third-party | Protects the Website from attacks and bots. It may store a security cookie (for example, __cf_bm). It can’t be used to identify you. | About 30 minutes |
| YouTube (Google) | Third-party | Videos are shown in privacy-enhanced mode: YouTube can only store cookies once you press play on a video. | As set by YouTube |
| Google Fonts | — | Displays the Website’s typefaces. Your browser connects to Google, but no cookies are stored. | — |
| Google Analytics | Analytics, third-party | Counting visits and seeing which pages are read the most (cookies such as _ga). | Up to 2 years |
| Google Ads | Advertising, third-party | Measuring whether a Google ad brought visits and showing ads to people who have already visited us (cookies such as _gcl_au). | About 3 months |
| Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) | Advertising, third-party | Measuring ads on Facebook and Instagram and showing them to people who have already visited us (cookies such as _fbp). | About 3 months |
Google Search Console, which we use to see how the Website appears on Google, doesn’t store cookies in your browser.
Your consent
Technical cookies don’t need your consent, because the Website can’t work without them. Measurement and advertising cookies, on the other hand, are optional:
- If you visit us from the European Union, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, they are not activated until you accept them in the notice that appears when you arrive. If you reject them, the Website works just the same.
- From anywhere, you can reject or delete them whenever you want from your browser or with each company’s tools (links below).
How to delete or block them
You can view, delete or block cookies at any time from your browser settings. Each browser explains how in its help pages:
If you block all cookies, the Website will keep working, although some videos might not play.
In addition, for personalized advertising you can use each company’s tools: Google’s ad settings, Meta’s ad preferences and, in Europe, Your Online Choices. To stop Google Analytics from measuring you on any website, there is its opt-out browser add-on.
Changes to this policy
If we add or remove any tool, we will say so here and update the date at the top.
